Job Summary:
The CU College of Nursing, Office of Research and Scholarship (ORS) is seeking a full-time (1.00 FTE) ORS Research, Fellowship, and PhD Program Coordinator (University Staff Position). This position will support the CU Nursing PhD Program, overseeing all administrative duties according to student enrollment/matriculation. This position will also support the Office of Research and Scholarship, managing logistics related to (a) the Psych Mental Health Nursing Fellowship and Loretta C. Ford Fellowship, (b) ORS metric collection, (c) ORS events, (d) ORS internal (i.e., intranet and Canvas) communication platforms, and (e) ORS initiatives, coordinating with other ORS team members and CU Nursing administrative teams as needed.
The ORS Research, Fellowship, and PhD Program Coordinator will report to the ORS Program Manager; this position will work closely with the Associate Dean for Research and Scholarship and the ORS team. The ORS Research, Fellowship, and PhD Program Coordinator will work in collaboration with the Assistant Dean of the PhD Program, the Sr. Associate Dean of Faculty and Students, Division Chairs, Assistant Deans, the graduate school, and the Office of Academic Programs, as well as with other leaders within the CU College of Nursing and collaborators on campus related to the overall CU Nursing Strategic Mission of research and nursing inquiry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of fellowships for CU Nursing students/trainees and tenure track faculty members working with CU Nursing Finance and CU Nursing HR on applicable aspects (10%)
- Coordinates meetings with the advisory committee for fellowship programs.
- Markets application information to eligible students.
- Serves as a point person for all student fellow trainees.
- Tracks metrics of success for fellows and tracks and supports matriculation through a fellowship program.
- Management of administrative aspects related to applicable CU Nursing Fellowships such as the Psychiatric Mental Health Fellowships, including coordination with other CU Nursing Administrative Teams as applicable.
- With the Associate Dean for Research, oversees funding distribution to students from relevant endowments. Communicates funding information to Finance.
- Communicates with HR as needed concerning HR matters applicable to post-doctoral fellows.
- Coordination of event planning within the CU Nursing Office of Research and Scholarship in collaboration with relevant leaders and/or teams within the College of Nursing and in alignment with college and university policy and procedures (15%)
- Including CU Nursing Conference of Research and Scholarship (CONRS), College of Nursing Grand Rounds, and other conferences/poster sessions, etc.
- Manages distribution of materials for conferences and lectures. Works with CU Nursing's marketing unit to create initial drafts of brochures, invitations, and advertisements for ORS-related events/lectures and to ensure final versions align with CU Nursing Marketing and Communication Guidelines and CU Branding Standards.
- Scheduling for and promotion of visiting scholars' lectures and multidisciplinary meetings with colleagues across campus.
- Coordinate the schedule for visiting scholars, communicate directly with those visiting scholars, and serve as the point person during the visit.
- Registering students for a yearly nursing conference, ordering their posters, arranging travel, and processing reimbursements.
- Support and work with Student Affairs, CU Nursing Continuing Education, the DEI Delegation, and other teams in the college to hold collaborative events to help support the overall mission of CU Nursing.
- Serve as point person for all cohorts of matriculating students in the CU Nursing PhD Program (25%)
- Oversee/aggregate documents/data submitted by students for the preliminary examination, comprehensive examination, final defense, etc. Coordinate them for both CU Nursing and graduate school.
- Collate faculty evaluations for PhD student preliminary exams for the PhD Program Director and appropriate faculty advisors for those students.
- Act as an intermediary between students/advisors and Grad School for credit transfer, comp exam, and dissertation defense paperwork.
- Update PhD Student Handbook as needed.
- Communicate with students via postings/announcements in the Canvas Community.
- Coordinate PhD Intensives Week events/scheduling in collaboration with the Assistant Dean of PhD Programs.
- Provide administrative support to the CU Nursing Research, Evidence, and Discovery Committee (10%)
- Schedule the monthly meetings.
- Disseminate the monthly agenda and record meeting minutes.
- Advertise the College of Nursing internal research awards and collect and disseminate the submitted applications to the committee members.
- Organize and maintain the committee's Microsoft Team channel.
- Provide administrative support to the ORS (40%)
- Obtain a CU Procurement card and assist ORS staff with monthly purchases.
- Assist research faculty with gift card program application and tracking of distributions.
- Intake of the Research and Scholarship requests, and triage requests sent to con.research@ucdenver.edu.
- Assist ORS staff and research faculty with CU Marketplace Responsibilities would include setting up purchase orders, monthly invoicing, setting up new suppliers, and completing Scope of Work forms for Independent Contractors, etc.
Work Location:
Hybrid - This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule with about 2-3 days per week on campus. Special event weeks will require 5 days per week on campus.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
- One (1) year of experience with academic services, student services, and/or program coordination.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with fellowships in higher education.
- Experience with event planning.
- Experience overseeing projects from start to finish.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $48,989 to $55,651.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
